University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Garrett Willis and freshman punt returner Daveon Bell, as well as McKendree University sophomore linebacker Ricco Gipson, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Led all players with 14 tackles, including nine solo stops
• Recorded 2.5 tackles for loss, including a quarterback sack
• Helped limit reigning GLVC Offensive Player of the Year T.J. Edwards to nearly 100 yards below his season passing average
• Currently boasts team highs in tackles (55), TFL (9), and sacks (4)
• Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
• Last McKendree Defensive Player of the Week:  Tobias Cook (9/11/17)
