University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Garrett Willis and freshman punt returner Daveon Bell, as well as McKendree University sophomore linebacker Ricco Gipson, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Amassed eight catches for a career-high 190 yards and two touchdowns
  • Averaged nearly 24 yards per catch
  • Down 10-0, Willis got the Hounds on the board with a 31-yard TD catch
  • Converted 3rd & 17 with a 52-yard reception, setting up his own 16-yard TD grab two plays later
  • Earns his first career Offensive Player of the Week award
