Missouri S&T’s Kelsey Musselman (Springfield, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.
Musselman, a senior third baseman for the Miners, helped S&T to a 2-2 record at the Charger Chillout over the weekend.
She hit .545 in the four games and collected five RBI, three runs, two home runs and a double. Musselman finished the weekend with a .667 slugging percentage and two walks.
S&T topped Delta State on Saturday, 13-10, behind a 2-for-3 effort from Musselman. She ripped a homerun and finished with two RBI and two runs.
She also led the Miners to a 7-4 win over 23rd-ranked Georgia College & State on Sunday. Musselman posted a 3-for-4 effort at the dish and raked a double and home run. She had three RBI in the win.
S&T fell to 15th-ranked Valdosta State on Saturday, 9-1, and to West Georgia on Sunday, 11-2, in its other two games at the event. The Miners will next travel to Monticello, Ark. for six games this weekend.
Other top performers in GLVC last week included Drury’s Mandy Burnett, SIU Edwardsville’s Lauren Zembruski, Southern Indiana’s Sara Loete and UIndy’s Sara Agnew.
