Quincy University’s Jessica Keller (Belle, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Keller, a junior forward for the Lady Hawks, led her team to wins over Rockhurst and fifth-ranked Drury last week.

 

In Quincy’s 77-72 win over Rockhurst on Thursday, Keller scored a game-high 24 points on 8-for-17 (.471) shooting. She also posted five rebounds, five assists and seven steals.

 

She returned on Saturday to guide the Lady Hawks to a 74-69 upset win over Drury. Keller poured in a game-high 31 points and also had six rebounds, three assists and a steal. She was 9-for-14 (.643) from the field, 2-for-2 from behind the three-point line and converted 11-of-12 (.917) free throw attempts.

 

On the week, Keller averaged 27.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game. She shot 54.8 percent from the field, 57.1 percent from behind the three-point arc and nailed 17-of-19 (.895) free throw attempts.

 

Keller averages 20.8 points per game to rank second in the GLVC this season. She is also posting 7.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.5 steals per game on the year.

 

Quincy (19-8, 14-5) has won five straight games and has earned the No. 3 seed in the GLVC West Division for the GLVC Tournament set to begin this week. The Lady Hawks will travel to UIndy on Tuesday night for the quarterfinal contest at 7 p.m. ET.
