The University of Indianapolis’ Brandon Braboy (Kevil, Ky.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Braboy, a junior right-hander for the Greyhounds, delivered a gem for UIndy in the finale of its three-game sweep at Oakland City over the weekend.
He collected the win in the Greyhounds’ 6-0 victory over the host Mighty Oaks by going the distance in a three-hit shutout. Brayboy fanned six in his seven innings of work and walked just one.
The win was Braboy’s first in three appearances this season. He is currently 1-1 with a 7.04 earned run average. He has recorded 12 strikeouts in 15.1 innings pitched on the season.
UIndy (7-2) has won four straight games and will next travel to Missouri Southern on March 10.
Other top performers in GLVC last week included Missouri S&T’s Matt Campbell.
