Missouri S&T’s Kelsey Musselman (Springfield, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.

 

Musselman, S&T’s senior third baseman, led the Miners to a 2-1 record on Sunday and finished the day 8-for-11 (.750) at the plate. She collected three doubles, a home run, six RBIs and five runs in the three contests as S&T fell to Truman State and picked up wins over Pittsburg State and Washburn.

 

In the Miners’ 11-2 win over Pittsburg State, Musselman went 4-for-4 with a double, home run, three runs and three RBIs. She completed the day with a 2-for-4 effort in S&T’s 6-3 win over Washburn.

 

On the year, Musselman is hitting .513 with 16 RBIs, 13 runs, six home runs and three doubles.

 

S&T is 6-7 overall this season and will next travel to Southwest Baptist on Thursday.

 

Other top performers in GLVC last week included Lewis’ Kelly Dianis, Missouri-St. Louis’ Casey Dierkes, SIU Edwardsville’s Courtney Rumpf and Southern Indiana’s Kristin Eickholt.
