The University of Indianapolis’ Seth Paul (Muncie, Ind.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week.

  

Paul, a senior catcher for the Greyhounds, guided UIndy to a 5-1 record last week, including a four-game sweep of visiting UW-Parkside over the weekend.

 

On the week, Paul was 11-for-22 (.524) with seven runs, seven RBIs, six doubles and three homeruns and finished the six games with a slugging percentage of 1.238.

 

In UIndy’s 8-6 win over Saginaw Valley State on Tuesday, Paul went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs.

 

He returned in the series opener against UW-Parkside, a 10-0 UIndy win, to go 2-for-4 with two home runs, two RBIs and two runs scored. He went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a home run in the Greyhounds’ 3-1 win in the nightcap.

 

This season, Paul is hitting .397 with 10 doubles, seven home runs, 23 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

 

UIndy (17-11) is 7-5 in the GLVC this season. The Greyhounds will next visit Tiffin on Wednesday.

 

Other top performers in GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Patrick Brady, Drury’s Tyler Goss, Missouri-St. Louis’ Scott Lavelock, Northern Kentucky’s Jon Back, Saint Joseph’s Mike Pericht and Southern Indiana's Chad Werry.
