The University of Indianapolis’ Brandon Braboy (Kevil, Ky.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

 

Braboy, a junior right-handed pitcher for the Greyhounds, shutdown Kentucky Wesleyan in the opener of a four-game series on Sunday afternoon, 8-0.

 

He went all nine innings in the win and allowed just four hits and one walk. In addition, Braboy struck out 10 on the afternoon.

 

The win pushes Braboy’s overall record to 5-3. He has a 3.76 earned run average this season and has struck out 60 in 67 innings pitched on the year.

 

UIndy (26-16) is now 12-10 in the GLVC and will conclude the series against the Panthers on Monday afternoon.

  

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s  Derek Mattingly, Quincy’s Jordan Backes, Rockhurst’s  Frank Allen, Saint Joseph’s  Tim LeBeau and Southern Indiana’s Shaun Larsen.
