Rockhurst University’s Emily Dye (Raymore, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Dye, a junior pitcher for the Hawks, collected three wins last week, including a pair of shutouts.
She topped Lincoln 6-0 on Tuesday and allowed just three hits while striking out five in the victory.
Dye returned on Saturday to shutdown visiting Bellarmine, 3-0. Against the Knights, Dye allowed just two hits and struck out four.
She capped the weekend with a 3-2 win over Northern Kentucky on Sunday. Dye surrendered four hits and struck out two in the win.
For the week, she posted a 0.67 earned run average and allowed just nine hits in 21 innings of work while collecting 11 strikeouts.
Dye is now 10-5 on the year with a 1.28 earned run average. She has recorded 72 strikeouts in 87.1 innings of work and has six shutouts.
Rockhurst (23-14, 8-8) has reeled off six straight wins and will next host Missouri S&T on Tuesday.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Courtney Lyons, Missouri-St. Louis’ Allyson DeFosset and SIU Edwardsville’s Erika Taylor.
