Indianapolis, Ind. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis’ Rachel Lee (St. Louis, Mo./Duchesne) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. The sophomore forward led the Riverwomen to three conference wins last week.
In Missouri-St. Louis’ 2-0 win at the University of Missouri-Rolla on Oct. 4, Lee scored the game-winning goal in the 49th minute. She finished the contest with five shots and two shots on goal.
Lee added her second game-winning goal of the week by scoring the first goal against visiting University of Southern Indiana on Oct. 6. The goal came unassisted in the 52nd minute of the contest.
She finished the strong week with a goal and an assist in the Riverwomen’s 4-1 win over visiting Kentucky Wesleyan College on Oct. 8. Lee provided the Riverwomen an insurance goal in the 63rd minute. She assisted on the game-winning goal scored by Amy Fox in the 19th minute of the match.
Lee leads the Riverwomen with ten goals this season. She has also collected seven assists and ranks second in the GLVC with 27 points on the year. Lee has scored a goal or recorded an assist in each of the last six matches.
Missouri-St. Louis has won seven straight matches and is now 10-5-1 overall this season and 7-4-0 in the GLVC.
