Bellarmine University’s Amanda Moore (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. The junior forward had the game-winning goals in all three matches Bellarmine played last week.

On Monday, Moore posted an unassisted game-winning goal in the 30th minute. They held off the Quincy Hawks for a 1-0 victory in the conference make-up match.

Friday, the Knights battled Southern Indiana and went into double overtime with the game tied at 1-1. Moore scored the game-winning goal off of a rebound to end the match 2-1 after 103 minutes of play.

The Knights continued on their conference quest, and Moore saved the day once again with two goals to conquer the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. The game was tied 1-1 at the half and Moore came back to score in the 77th minute to take the lead. She then secured their victory with another goal assisted by Nicole Glockner.

For the week, Moore helped the Knights to three victories in GLVC play.

Bellarmine (8-4-2, 4-4-1 GLVC) will host Oakland City on Friday and Northern Kentucky on Sunday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included: Northern Kentucky’s Lauren Franzen, Quincy’s Toni Eye, UW-Parkside’s Meredith Novak, and Rockhurst’s Alyssa Miller.
