University of Indianapolis senior quarterback Jake Purichia and McKendree University senior linebacker Austin Weltha and sophomore punter Monte Wolke have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Averaged 46 yards on six punt attempts, including a 60-yard effort that was downed at the Miners’ three-yard line
• Three of six punts landed inside the S&T 20-yard line, including two inside the five-yard line
• Now averaging 40.7 yards per punt through eight games with seven kicks of 50 yards or more, and 19 that have landed inside the opposition’s 20-yard line.
• Earns his first career Special Teams Player of the Week award
