University of Indianapolis senior quarterback Jake Purichia and McKendree University senior linebacker Austin Weltha and sophomore punter Monte Wolke have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Team Result: 39-31 road win at Missouri S&T

• Finished evening with 10 tackles, including six solo stops, one TFL and one sack (one of a season-high nine by team)
• Recorded two interception returns for touchdowns on consecutive drives in third quarter, the first one going for 25 yards before a 43-yard effort moments later
• His two scores came in a span of one minute, 22 seconds to help turn 15-9 lead into a 29-9 advantage
• Contributed heavily to Bearcats’ 25-0 score advantage in third quarter
• Two pick-sixes increased Bearcats’ total to five on the year, tying school record set by 1997 squad
• Earns his second career Defensive Player of the Week award (10/19/15)
