University of Missouri-St. Louis’ Sarah Eisnaugle is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The junior middle hitter helped the Tritons to a pair of wins last week, including a victory over NCAA D-III fourth-ranked Washington (Mo.).
On the week, Eisnaugle posted 3.13 kills and 1.25 digs per match while hitting at a .396 clip. She also added six blocks and four service aces.
In UMSL’s 3-2 win at Washington, Eisnaugle posted 15 kills, seven digs, four service aces and three blocks. She finished the match with a .407 hitting percentage.
She returned on Friday to help the Tritons secure a 3-0 win at Quincy as UMSL secured a berth to the GLVC tournament.
In the win, she posted 10 kills, three digs, three blocks and a .381 hitting percentage.
Eisnaugle has recorded double-digit kills in three straight matches, a season-high, and is averaging 2.29 kills, 0.78 digs and 0.66 blocks per set this season. She is also hitting at a .195 clip.
UMSL, 19-6 overall and 11-2 in the GLVC, leads the GLVC West Division by three games. The Tritons will finish the regular season with four matches at home including Rockhurst and Drury this weekend.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Stephanie Sagat, Rockhurst’s Katy Hernandez, Southern Indiana’s Brittani Oliver and UW-Parkside’s Tami Gleason.
