Indianapolis, Ind. – Rockhurst University’s Nathalia Rivera (San Juan, Puerto Rico) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s volleyball Player of the Week. The senior outside hitter led the Hawks to a 3-0 record at the Lewis University Flyer Festival on Sept. 1-2.
Rivera averaged 4.22 kills and had a hitting percentage of .436 in the three matches. She guided the Hawks to a 30-22, 30-19, 30-19 win over the University of West Florida on Sept. 1 by posting 13 kills and eight digs in the straight-game victory.
She also tallied 13 kills, nine digs, three blocks and a service ace in Rockhurst’s Sept. 1 nightcap win over Davis & Elkins College, 30-16, 30-13, 30-13.
Rivera completed the weekend with a 12 kill effort in the Hawks’ 30-12, 30-13, 30-8 win over Shepherd University on Sept. 2.
She was one of three outside hitters named to the Flyer Festival All-Tournament team and has helped her team build a 7-0 overall record this season. Rivera is averaging 3.96 kills and 3.96 digs per game on the year.
