Rockhurst University’s Emily Levy is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The sophomore middle hitter helped the Hawks to three victories last week, including a win at GLVC West Division-leading Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, 3-1.  

 

For the week, Levy posted 33 kills (2.75 per set), 18 blocks (1.50) and a .408 hitting percentage.

 

In Rockhurst’s 3-1 win at Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday, Levy notched 15 kills and three blocks. She finished the match with a .583 hitting percentage as she had only on attack error in 24 attempts.

 

Levy returned on Friday to post eight kills, a career-high 12 blocks and a .240 hitting percentage at UMSL. She had 10 block assists in the victory.

 

On Saturday, Levy completed her solid week with 10 kills, three blocks and a .409 hitting percentage in the Hawks’ 3-0 win at Missouri S&T.

 

She currently leads the GLVC in blocks per set (1.18) this season and leads Rockhurst in hitting percentage (.265).

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Rachel Warrington, Lewis’ Sarah deBuhr, Missouri-St. Louis’ Lisa Brinker, Saint Joseph’s Sara Cramer, Southern Indiana’s Margaret Buschman and UIndy’s Beth Robbins.
