University of Missouri-St. Louis senior guard Elijah Watson has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Averaged 16.0 points on 14-of-27 shooting (.519), 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals in two wins
• Tallied 21 points on 9-of-18 (.500) from the floor with six assists, five rebounds and two steals in upset over No. 20 William Jewell
• Defensively helped limit Jewell to season-low six three-pointers, after Cardinals came in averaging a league second-best 11 treys per game
• Helped Tritons hold Jewell to nearly 20 points off season scoring average
• Ended week with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting (.556), six rebounds, four assists and a steal in blowout win over Central Christian
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
