McKendree University junior middle distance specialist Quincy McSweeney and Missouri S&T junior pole valuter Amanda Wetzel have been named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week of the 2017-18 season, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

Team Competition:  NTS, Pittsburg State’s Crimson & Gold Invitational
 

• Met NCAA provisional qualifying standard with clearance of 3.72 meters (12’2”) in the pole vault 
• Effort was good for fourth place overall, as well as the season’s top mark in the GLVC and eighth-best nationally
• Second career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (1/24/17)
• Last Missouri S&T Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: Amanda Wetzel (1/24/17)
