McKendree University junior middle distance specialist Quincy McSweeney and Missouri S&T junior pole valuter Amanda Wetzel have been named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week of the 2017-18 season, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

Team Competition: NTS, Missouri Holiday Opener/Pittsburg State’s Crimson & Gold Invitational
- Ran a personal best and NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 57.09 seconds in the 400 meters at Mizzou, which ranks first in the GLVC and fifth nationally
- Returned to action at Pitt State with wire-to-wire five-second win in 800 meters in 2:08.86, which automatically qualified her for the NCAA Championships
- Effort was also a new school record, first in Division II by a second, and second-fastest across all three NCAA divisions this season
- Concluded weekend running a 55.9 split on the winning 4x400-meter relay team, which broke the 17 year old school record in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:47.34, good for third fastest in the country this year
