McKendree University senior guard/forward Justin Blanks has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Averaged 24.0 points on 23-of-46 shooting (.500), 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in three wins
• Posted 24 points on 7-of-17 shooting (.412) to go along with four rebounds and three assists against Salem
• Was 6-of-13 from the floor (.462) for 17 points in just 20 minutes of play against RMU-Springfield
• Finished week with a season-high 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting (.625) with eight rebounds against Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
