University of Southern Indiana junior guard Alex Stein has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball, it was announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.

• Averaged 27.5 points on 16-of-26 shooting (.615), 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in two wins
• Went 5-of-9 (.556) from three-point land
• Posted 31 points on 7-of-12 shooting (.583), including a USI record 14-of-14 at the free-throw line, in upset over Lake Superior State
• Finished the week with 24 points and six assists over Ohio Valley
• Established a new USI record with 49 consecutive free throws made
• Earns his second career Player of the Week award (11/14/16)
