Maryville University freshman miler Chase Bland and University of Wisconsin-Parkside sophomore jumper Tavian Stewart have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

Team Competition:  Carthage Private College Invite, 4^th of 6 Teams

• Notched a personal best in the long jump with a winning leap of 7.25 meters
• Distance broke the 43-year-old school record
• Effort ranks first in the GLVC (by more than a foot) and ninth nationally
• First Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor in school history
