University of Indianapolis freshman distance specialist Lauren Bailey and redshirt junior thrower Katie Monk have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

Team Competition:  NTS, Tom Hathaway Distance Classic
 
  • Won the mile in 5 minutes, 16.44 seconds, which ranks her fifth in the GLVC this year
  • Returned to lead UIndy’s Distance Medley Relay team in the 1,200-meter leg, resulting in a winning time of 12:23.12, good for first in the GLVC this season
  • First career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor
