Lewis University sophomore sprinter Allie Heinzer and University of Indianapolis redshirt junior thrower Katie Monk have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

  • Threw 15.54 meters in the shot put and 18.66 meters in the weight throw
  • Improved on her school record in the shot put by .57 meters
  • Remained first in the GLVC and fourth nationally in both events
  • Third straight and fifth career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (2/15/15, 1/23/18, 1/30/18, 2/7/18)
