Lewis University sophomore sprinter Allie Heinzer and University of Indianapolis redshirt junior thrower Katie Monk have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

  • Opened Friday with a time of 55.46 seconds in the 400 meters, good enough for the fifth-best time in the country
  • Returned to run a 24.55 in the 200 meters, which is currently eighth-fastest in NCAA Division II this year
  • Ran another 200 meters on Saturday and won the meet with a slightly slower time of 24.57.
  • Currently ranks second in the GLVC in both events
  • Earns second career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor (2/22/17)
