William Jewell College sophomore first baseman Christian Chalabi and Missouri S&T junior pitcher Dalton Erger have been respectively named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week of the baseball season, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Threw seven shutout innings in his second career start, allowing only two hits and striking out a career-high seven over 99 pitches before turning the game over to the bullpen
• Prior to the start, he had pitched out of the bullpen in 37 of his 38 appearances for the Miners
• Earns first career Pitcher of the Week award
