niversity of Southern Indiana senior distance runner Bastian Grau and Missouri S&T senior thrower John Karsten have been named the final Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week of the 2017-18 season, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday. 

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Bastian Grau, Southern Indiana
Sr., Distance, Hochstadt, Germany 
Team Competition:  NTS, Arkansas Qualifier

• Won the mile in 4 minutes, 4.51 seconds, which ranks tops in the GLVC and 10^th in NCAA Division II, including third among non-adjusted times
• Fourth career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor (1/18/17, 1/24/17, 1/23/18, 2/20/18)
• Last Southern Indiana Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Bastian Grau (1/23/18)
