University of Indianapolis’ Isabell Rhenwrick (Gary, Ind.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior guard paced the Greyhounds to their third consecutive win, an 84-50 decision over visiting Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.
In the decisive victory, Rhenwrick posted a double-double with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. She finished the contest 5-for-8 (.625) from the field, 1-for-1 from behind the three-point line and 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
In addition, Rhenwrick collected seven assists and three steals. She was just three assists shy of becoming the second player in program history to post a triple-double.
On the year, Rhenwrick is averaging 5.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. She is posting 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in league contests.
UIndy improved to 11-2 overall this season with the victory. The Greyhounds, 1-1 in league play, will visit Christian Brothers tonight prior to traveling to Kentucky Wesleyan for a conference contest on Jan. 2.
