Bellarmine University’s Chartrael Hall (Louisville, Ky.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior guard led the Knights to three victories last week, including a 77-60 win over 17th-ranked Northern Kentucky on Friday.

 

On the week, Hall averaged 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He shot 58.3 percent from the field and helped propel Bellarmine to a 12-0 record this season, the squad’s best start in school history.   

 

In Monday’s 88-85 win over West Liberty State, Hall scored 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting. He also added five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

 

He returned in the Knights’ 82-76 win over Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday to net eight points, dish out ten assists and pull down seven rebounds.

 

Against the Norse on Thursday, Hall posted a team-high 19 points and added nine rebounds and six assists. He finished 5-for-7 from the field and went to the free throw line 17 times, converting nine.

 

This season, Hall is averaging 13.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He ranks second on the team in scoring average and first in rebounds and assists per game.

 

The Knights have won 12 consecutive games establishing a new school record for a winning streak. Bellarmine (12-0, 3-0 GLVC) will return to action on Thursday when it hosts 11th-ranked Kentucky Wesleyan. The Knights will host 18th-ranked Southern Indiana on Saturday.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Tim Brown, Missouri-St. Louis’ Jason Black, Quincy’s Billy Baptist, Rockhurst’s Alden Smith, Saint Joseph’s Brandon Mayse and Southern Indiana’s Jamar Smith.
