Rockhurst University junior first baseman Alex Van Pelt and Quincy University sophomore right-hander Jimmy McDonald have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Registered 15 total bases, .938 slugging percentage, and .624 slugging percentage
• Batted 4-for-5 with three RBI, a double and home run against Grand Valley State on March 6
• Went 2-for-4 with two RBI against Northwood on March 8
• Posted a 1-for-4 mark with an RBI against Grand Valley State on March 9
• Finished Spring Break trip with 3-for-3 effort vs. Mansfield on March 10, with 1 double, RBI and three runs scored
• Earns first career Player of the Week award
