INDIANAPOLIS – University of Illinois Springfield senior infielder Cole Taylor and University of Missouri-St. Louis senior Jim Brandt have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Opened with 3-for-5 effort with one double, one RBI and one run scored vs. Bemidji State on Tuesday
• Followed with 2-for-6 outing with four RBI, a double and home run and two runs scored against Bemidji State Sunday
• Started Rockhurst four-game series 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored
• Finished series sweep 7-for-17 with four RBI, a double and a home run
• Earns first career Player of the Week award
