University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s D.J. Dantzler (Joliet, IL) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The sophomore guard led the Rangers to pair of conference wins.
For the week, Dantzler averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals shots per game. He shot .818, 9-for-11 from behind the arc.
He contributed 20 points to the Rangers’ upset against Drury, 74-71. He was 5-for-6 from beyond the arc, and grabbed six defensive boards.
In the game against Missouri S&T, Dantzler went 4-for-5 from the 3-point line and hustled on defensive to steal three from the Miners.
Dantzler averages 10.4 points per game and has collected 13 steals so far this season.
The Rangers (5-9) improved their GLVC record to 2-4. They will play Quincy (8-5, 2-3) on Thursday and turn around and play at Lewis (9-6, 3-3) on Saturday afternoon.
