University of Southern Indiana senior outfielder Buddy Johnson and Bellarmine University senior left-hander Eddie Mathis have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Hit .520 (13-for-25) over six games with six doubles, 10 runs scored, 11 RBI, three walks and three stolen bases
• Reached base safely with at least one hit in all six games
• Registered 19 total bases and a .760 slugging percentage
• Shined in first game of UW-Parkside series, in which he went 7-for-8 with four doubles, six runs scored and 10 RBI.
• In that game, he set USI single-game records in hits, doubles and runs batted in
• Followed up the effort with a 2-for-3 outing Friday, in which he doubled and scored two runs
• Earns first career Player of the Week award
