Lewis University sophomore sprinter Allie Heinzer and University of Indianapolis junior thrower Katie Monk have earned the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors of the 2018 season, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.

Team Competition:  McKendree Bearcat Classic
  • Won the shot put (14.88m), discus (42.86m), and hammer throw (54.37)
  • Achieved NCAA provisional qualifying standards in shot put (sixth) and hammer throw (13th)
  • Currently ranked first in the GLVC in all three events
  • Fourth career GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (4/30/15, 4/5/17, 4/11/17, 4/3/18)
