University of Illinois Springfield senior outfielder Nick Stokowski and Missouri S&T senior Dan Borek have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Posted a complete game shutout, allows just one hit and no walks over 7.0 innings
• Faced just three batters over the minimum with four strikeouts and also picked off a runner to end an inning
• Carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning; after allowing a leadoff hit in the fifth, he retired the last nine batters he faced
• Threw the Miners’ first complete game shutout in nearly a year and the second of his career
• Held Jewell to just .048 batting average
• Earns first career Pitcher of the Week award
