Quincy University junior second baseman Cody Birdsong and Missouri S&T senior Dan Borek have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Posted a 7.0-inning complete game two-hitter, allowing just one run and no walks while striking out four
• The two hits both came in the fourth inning, which were the only baserunners Drury had in the game
• Produced six 1-2-3 innings and finished game by retiring the final 10 Drury hitters
• Held Panthers to a .087 batting average
• Effort helped break Drury’s 10-game winning streak
• Over his last two starts, Borek has allowed just three hits in 14 innings
• Earns second straight and second overall Pitcher of the Week award
