Quincy University junior second baseman Cody Birdsong and University of Illinois Springfield left-hander Andrew Dean have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

- Reached base safely in all six games, including multiple hits in three contests
- Registered 23 total bases and a 1.045 slugging percentage
- Had a pair of 2-for-4 efforts in wins over IU South Bend, including two doubles, a triple, three runs scored and two RBI
- Opened William Jewell series a combined 2-for-6 with three RBI, two runs and three walks
- Concluded series 4-for-8 with two home runs, two runs scored and six RBI, including five in extra-inning finale
