University of Illinois Springfield sophomore Tyler Pasley and freshman Taryn Christy have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Runners of the Week in men’s and women’s cross country, respectively, it was announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.

  • Placed first overall in her first collegiate race, finishing the 4,000-meter time of 15 minutes, 40.7 seconds
  • Bested runner-up finisher by nearly 10 seconds
  • Earns program’s first career GLVC Runner of the Week award
