McKendree University senior quarterback Reece Metcalf, William Jewell College junior defensive back Donte’ Colum, and Missouri S&T senior return specialist Roderick Chapman have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

- Accumulated 147 yards in kick returns, including an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter
- Punt return was the seventh-longest in GLVC history and longest by a Miner since Braxton Graham’s GLVC-record 93 yard return two seasons ago
- Return for a TD extended a streak in which the Miners have had at least one return (kickoff, punt, interception or fumble) for a score to a school-record 14 consecutive years
- Netted 65 yards on three kickoffs with a long of 29 yards
- Also registered three tackles on the day, including two solo stops
- Earns his second career Special Teams Player of the Week award (10/16/17)
