University of Indianapolis senior wide receiver Malik Higgins, Missouri S&T senior linebacker Bo Brooks, and Truman State University sophomore kick returner Lawrence Woods have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Major:  Petroleum Engineering
Team Result: 16-7 win at Tuskegee

 

• Finished with a team-high nine tackles, including four quarterback sacks
• One of the sacks produced a fumble in S&T territory that the Miners recovered and returned deep into Tuskegee territory, which resulted in an S&T field goal
• Also had two pass breakups in the contest
• Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
• Last Missouri S&T Defensive Player of the Week:  Tershawn Wharton (9/10/18)
