University of Indianapolis freshman running back and kick returner Toriano Clinton and Missouri S&T junior defensive back Ryan Kirkendall have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.
By being recognized as the Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, Clinton is the first standout in league history to earn two awards in the same week.

Team Result: 20-13 win at Quincy
- Had nine tackles, two pass interceptions and an additional pass breakup against the Hawks
- Returned the first of his two interceptions 36 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter
- Was part of a Miner secondary effort that held Quincy to 12-of-31 passing in the win
- Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
