INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis freshman running back and kick returner Toriano Clinton and Missouri S&T junior defensive back Ryan Kirkendall have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday. 
 
By being recognized as the Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, Clinton is the first standout in league history to earn two awards in the same week.

Team Result: 48-10 win vs. McKendree
  • Racked up a career-high 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns (14, 1, 71 yards) on 11 carries for an average of 16.5 yards per attempt
  • Also returned two kickoffs for TDs (97, 83 yards), becoming the first Greyhound since at least 1983 to return a pair of kicks in the same game
  • Amassed the highest total of all-purpose yards in the GLVC this season with 362, which is also good for the fifth-highest sum in GLVC history and just two yards shy of the UIndy single-game mark
  • Became the first Greyhound in three years to score five touchdowns in a game
  • One of only three Division II players with three kickoff return TDs this season
  • Earns his first career Offensive Player of the Week award
  • Earns his second career Special Teams Player of the Week award (10/1/18)
