Lewis University junior sprinter Allie Heinzer and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Katie Monk have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

Major: Special/Elementary Education
Team Competition:  3rd/18 Teams, 100 points, GVSU Mike Lints Invitational

 
  • Won three events, including the 200 and 400 meters as well as the 4x400-meter relay
  • Placed first in the 400 meters with a time of 54.89 seconds, good for a three-second victory and third-best time in NCAA Division II this year
  • Snagged the 200-meter title with an NCAA qualifying time of 24.50 seconds
  • Anchored winning 4x400-meter relay teams with a 53.9-second split for a team time of 3:50.46, good for ninth nationally
  • Earns fifth career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor (2/22/17, 2/13/18, 2/20/18, 12/11/18, 1/30/19)
  • Last Lewis Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Cierra Pulliam (1/15/19)
