William Jewell College freshman outfielder Anthony Hansen and Missouri S&T senior pitcher Luke Marcheschi have been respectively named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week of the 2019 baseball season, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Went 6-for-14 (.429) at the plate, totaling three doubles and three runs batted in
• Recorded at least one hit in each of his three games
• Opened 1-for-4 in season-opening loss, and then followed with 3-for-5 effort with a double and 2 RBI in the second game of the twinbill.
• Closed out the series 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
