University of Indianapolis sophomore distance runner Lauren Bailey and senior thrower Katie Monk have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

• Opened meet with a toss of 20.01 meters in the weight throw, making her the only NCAA Division II thrower to eclipse 20.00 meters this year
• Followed up by breaking her school record in the shot put with a throw of 15.72 meters
• Currently ranked first in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put in DII
• Eighth career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (2/15/15, 1/23/18, 1/30/18, 2/7/18, 2/13/18, 2/20/18, 1/30/19, 2/13/19)
