University of Southern Indiana senior guard Alex Stein has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Averaged 29 points on 17-of-24 (.708) shooting, with 4.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game
• Opened week with 26 points on 8-of-14 from the field with six assists, four rebounds and three steals in win over McKendree
• Missed just one of his 10 attempts from the floor against Illinois Springfield, notching 32 points with two assists, one rebound and one steal
• Currently sits just nine points away from 2,000 career points. 
• Earns his fifth career Player of the Week award (11/14/16, 1/2/18, 11/26/18, 1/14/19)
