University of Southern Indiana sophomore shortstop Ethan Hunter and Drury University freshman pitcher Kaden Helsel have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Went 5-for-11 (.455) at the plate, totaling two home runs, one double, four runs scored and five runs batted in
• Posted a slugging percentage of 1.091 on the week
• Recorded at least one hit in each of his three games
• Opened season 2-for-4 with a home run and double with two runs scored and three RBI
• Combined to go 3-for-7 with another home run, two runs scored, and two RBI in Saturday’s twinbill split.
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
