University of Southern Indiana freshman catcher Lucas McNew and Missouri S&T senior pitcher Dalton Erger have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Went 6-for-11 (.545) at the plate with two home runs, one triple and two doubles, six runs batted in and four runs scored
• Posted a slugging percentage of 1.455 on the week with 16 total bases off a single and five extra-base hits
• Registered two RBI in each of the Screaming Eagles’ three wins
• Opened three-game stint with Lewis with 3-for-4 effort with a home run and two doubles, driving in two and scoring three times
• Concluded Saturday with a 1-for-3 effort with a triple and sacrifice fly and two RBI
• Finished the series going 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored
• Earns his first career Player of the Week award
