University of Indianapolis’ Jamie Keltz (Avon, Ind.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.

  

Keltz, a sophomore second baseman for the Greyhounds, guided UIndy to a 4-2 record at the University of Alabama-Huntsville Charger Chillout over the weekend.

 

In the six games, Keltz was 9-for-24 (.375) with seven runs, five RBIs and a .958 slugging percentage. She also belted four of the Greyhounds’ 14 home runs on the weekend.

 

In UIndy’s wins over Delta State and Wayne State on Friday, Keltz was 4-for-9 with three runs and two RBIs. She hit a home run in each win on the day.

 

She added a 2-for-3 effort with a home run in Sunday’s 9-5 extra-inning loss to West Florida and finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs, two runs and a home run in the Greyhounds’ 9-6 win over 20th-ranked Georgia College & State in the nightcap. 

 

Other top performers in GLVC last week included Drury’s Kelly Ross and Northern Kentucky’s Ashley Gates.
