Lewis University sophomore distance runner John Partee and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Austin Hogan have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday.
 

MEN’S OUTDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Austin Hogan, Indianapolis

Major: Anatomical Sciences
Team Competition:  3rd/18, 80 points, Oliver Nikoloff Invitational

• Won the hammer throw (67.53 meters) and discus (54.26 meters), and placed third in the shot put (17.37 meters)
• Improved his hammer throw by more than 2.5 meters to eclipse the NCAA automatic qualifying mark, while setting the second-best throw in school history
• Currently ranked first in the GLVC in all three events, and is now nationally ranked second in the hammer, third in the discus, and 16^th in the shot put
• Sixth career GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (4/11/17, 4/3/18, 4/18/18, 4/26/18, 4/3/19)
